By Christie Burns

Sunday 11/14

9:49 a.m. A Kalispell man came into the office lobby complaining about his missing spools of wire.

9:55 a.m. A homeless pit bull was taken to the animal shelter.

10:41 a.m. A suspicious man wearing khaki pants was seen digging up a railroad tie near Highway 2 East.

10:57 a.m. Someone spotted a deer walking around with a bucket on its head.

11:57 a.m. A skinny, sick looking dog was taken to the animal shelter.

4:16 p.m. A Columbia Falls man believes his tire and wheel were stolen sometime last night.

6:30 p.m. A terrier fell off a retaining wall in Whitefish. An animal warden helped the concerned pet owner rescue it.

6:37 p.m. A scared and armed Kalispell resident called from her locked and barricaded bedroom to report that someone was in her house. She could hear, although the washing machine and TV muffled the noises, someone breaking glass. She could also hear someone on the stairs and believed the music and air compressor had been turned on. Deputies investigated and found that the washing machine’s vibrations had bumped the air compressor into action and knocked over a lamp causing a bulb to break.

11:00 p.m. A concerned resident on Corporate Drive watched someone drive recklessly in the field adjacent from their house.
