GREAT FALLS – A 22-year-old Browning man has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for an April drunken driving crash that killed a passenger.

Shane K. Talksabout entered his plea Thursday before U.S. District Judge Sam Haddon, who scheduled sentencing for March 2011.

Prosecutors say Talksabout had been drinking for several hours prior to driving a vehicle on U.S. Highway 89 northwest of Browning early on April 8.

Officials say Talksabout drove off the road, hit the brakes and sent the vehicle into a skid that caused the vehicle to roll backward and to the right. The vehicle landed on its top and three passengers were ejected.

A 19-year-old man died at the Browning hospital shortly after the crash.

Court records say Talksabout’s blood-alcohol level was 0.3055.
