Glacier's Porch Wins Tourney, Honored by Golfweek

Ryan Porch, a sophomore at Glacier High School who finished second at the Montana Class AA golf tournament, recently won first place in his age division at the Golfweek Junior Tour Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz. Porch shot rounds of 70-75 to win the boys 14-15 age division.

Golfweek named him the junior player of the week. Not bad considering Porch has been doing more skiing than golfing since the fall high school season ended in early October. By winning, Porch is now invited to the Golfweek West Coast Junior Invitational on Jan. 15-16 at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale.
