Are the Grizzlies Looking for a Transfer Quarterback?

By Beacon Staff

The Missoulian is reporting on rumors about Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier possibly looking into the University of Montana. Forcier has announced he’s leaving Michigan and the Missoulian story confirms that the Forcier family visited the Missoula campus in December.

The story goes on to say that “the buzz around UM has the Griz more interested in former Wyoming quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels, who less than two weeks ago announced – by text message – that he’s leaving Laramie for a junior college.”

While these are just rumors right now, they are intriguing. The Grizzlies have a history of attracting transfer quarterbacks from big-name schools. Case in point: Justin Roper, an Oregon transfer who started for the Grizzlies this fall. Will one transfer be replaced with another? We’ll see in due time.
