BUTTE – Butte-Silver Bow County officials have released the name of a 62-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Butte over the weekend.
Capt. Doug Conway says the body of Robert Ray Bajzer was found lying on the sidewalk in a store front doorway on West Park Street early Sunday. Coroner Lee LaBreche says Bajzer had been stabbed multiple times.
A witness reported seeing a person fleeing from the area, possibly wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket or sweat shirt. Conway says investigators are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing or saw someone in the area at the time of the stabbing, which happened shortly after midnight Saturday.
Conway says Bajzer had been seen drinking at area bars starting at about noon Saturday. Anyone who encountered him is asked to contact police.
