Kalispell Bar Goes Italian

By Beacon Staff

The KB Sports Bar and Grill on Main Street in Kalispell is scheduled to be closed for a couple weeks as it undergoes its transition into an Italian restaurant.

The new eatery, ScottiBelli’s, will feature traditional Italian fare for lunch and dinner, as well as a bar menu, owner Janet Clark said.

Clark said she and her husband Butch agreed that leasing the restaurant to Renato and Angela Scottibelli would be a positive business decision.

“We got together and figured that Kalispell needs a good Italian restaurant,” Clark said. “Combining it with the bar business we have we think the two of us are going to be a success.”

The couple already owns two restaurants in Southern California, Clark said; their daughter runs one and their son runs the other. The couple’s son Brian will take over chef duties in the new restaurant, Clark said.

Beginning on Feb. 13, the bar will be closed for minor renovations. The televisions will stay in the bar area, Clark said, and a pizza oven will be added to the kitchen. The new chef also needs time to train his staff, she said.

Once reopened, Clark said people will still be able to walk in and sit at the bar for a drink.

The new menu includes various pasta dishes, pizzas and salads, and also lists family portions. The lunch menu also includes pasta, salad and pizza, as well as sandwiches.

Clark said the prices were set to a moderate level with families and businesspeople in mind.
