Bluegrass Concert at the KM Building on Friday

By Beacon Staff

I like bluegrass music.

Maybe it was from going to bluegrass festivals with my Arkansas-born-and-raised father, or maybe it’s just a general appreciation for talented musicians. Whatever the reason, I love the fiddle, guitar, banjo, stand-up bass, twang…you name it.

So it’s pretty exciting that the Kalispell Downtown Business Improvement District is presenting the Montana-based bluegrass band Pinegrass on Friday’s edition of the Winter Concert Series.

Pinegrass – composed of John Joyner on fiddle; Chad Fadely on mandolin; Bill Neaves on guitar and vocals; Ted Lowe on bass and vocals; and Jack Mauer on banjo and dobro – is new to me, but I enjoyed their music online, some of which you can listen to by clicking here. It’s the kind of music that might make you forget about the snow and slush for a while.

Anyway, here are the details:

Show starts Friday, March 4th, at 7:30 p.m. at the KM Building in downtown Kalispell.

$20 tickets are sold at Noice Studio and Gallery, The Kalispell Grand Hotel, Ceres Bakery and Colter Coffee.
