Columbia Falls Woman Dies in Highway 2 Crash

MISSOULA – The Montana Highway Patrol says a 47-year-old Columbia Falls woman died after a weekend crash on U.S. Highway 2 west of Hungry Horse.

The Missoulian reports the woman was southbound at 9:30 p.m. Saturday when her compact car crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a full-sized pickup truck.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The driver of the pickup was wearing her seat belt and received minor injuries.

The woman’s name was being withheld while family members were notified.
