Somers Woman Killed in Rollover Accident Near Kalispell

By Beacon Staff

Authorities say a 36-year-old Somers woman is dead after a single-vehicle rollover accident on U.S. Highway 2 west of Kalispell.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Neil Duram says Kim Yost was driving with her three daughters — ages 8, 11 and 15 — when her vehicle drifted off the side of the road at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Yost overcorrected and her car rolled before coming to rest on a guardrail.

Duram says based on evidence and witness statements, she was probably reaching for something in the glove box when she lost control of the vehicle.

Yost, who was the only one not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at a Kalispell hospital less than an hour after the crash. The Daily Inter Lake reports her daughters were treated for minor injuries.
