School elections are going on all over the valley today, with polls closing at 8 p.m. All voters have the opportunity to vote in the Flathead Valley Community College board of trustees race, while voters in Helena Flats, Creston and Whitefish must also make a decision on levies. The annual Trustee Election of School District No. 7, Flathead Valley Community College, Flathead County, State of Montana, for the election of one (1) trustee for a term of three (3) years in the Flathead High School District, one (1) trustee for a term of two (2) years in the Flathead High School District and two (2) trustees for terms of three (3) years in the Columbia Falls, Bigfork and Whitefish High School Districts will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the regular school district polling places.
The Flathead High School and the Columbia Falls, Bigfork, and Whitefish elementary school district polls will be open as indicated below:
Absentee ballots may be obtained by contacting Monica Settles, Clerk of the District, Flathead Valley Community College. Absentee ballots will be available until 12:00 (Noon) May 2, 2011.
