FVCC Incumbent Trustees Retain Seats

All the incumbents retained their seats in the election for Flathead Valley Community College Board of Trustees, in a race that drew a number of challengers affiliated with tea party-style political groups. Click here for the Beacon‘s previous coverage of the FVCC trustee race.

Here are the preliminary results:

BIGFORK, WHITEFISH, COLUMBIA FALLS DISTRICTS (TWO OPENINGS, 3-YEAR TERM)

THOMAS HARDING (incumbent): 2,046 votes

JOHN PHELPS (incumbent): 2,028 votes

EDWIN X BERRY: 708 votes

ROLAND HORST: 475 votes

GLENN WEHE: 449 votes

FLATHEAD HIGH DISTRICT (ONE OPENING, 2-YEAR TERM)

SHANNON LUND (incumbent): 2,529 votes

TIM BALDWIN: 759 votes

MICHAEL HEBERT: 525 votes

FLATHEAD HIGH DISTRICT (3-YEAR TERM)

ROBERT NYSTUEN, Interim Chairman (incumbent and unopposed): 3,608 votes
