Canadian Days Baseball Tournament on May 20-22 in Kalispell

By Beacon Staff

The Kalispell Lakers, whose AA team has won five straight games, host their annual Canadian Days Tournament on May 20-22. If everything goes right, the weather should be warmer and a bit less dreary by the weekend, and it will be a great chance to enjoy a day of baseball.

Joe Pistorese has been leading the way for the hot Lakers recently, hitting home runs on a regular basis and continuing his pitching mastery over the rest of the AA competition. He threw a career-high 19 strikeouts in a victory over Helena last weekend.

Go check out Pistorese and the gang this weekend. Games start at 3 p.m. on Friday at Griffin Field and Archie Roe Field in Kalispell. Then on Saturday, games begin at 9 a.m. with the last one scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday’s games are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Along with the Lakers’ AA and A teams, Whitefish’s Glacier Twins will also participate, as will teams from Calgary, Edmonton and Missoula, among other towns.
