Kalispell Man Charged With Eighth DUI

By Beacon Staff

A 48-year-old Kalispell man is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol for an eighth time after being stopped for speeding over the weekend.

The Daily Inter Lake reports Gregory Anklam was arrested by the Montana Highway Patrol at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday after being clocked traveling 62 mph in a 45 mph zone. Anklam refused to provide a breath sample.

Flathead County prosecutors filed the charges Monday.

Anklam’s driving record shows seven convictions for DUI, with the first in April 1985. His last conviction was in May 2006.

Because of his previous convictions, the latest DUI is a felony.
