St. Regis Bank Robbed by ‘Thin and Tiny’ Man

By Beacon Staff

MISSOULA – Mineral County authorities are searching for a “thin and tiny” man wearing a motorcycle helmet who robbed a bank in St. Regis.

The sheriff’s department says the Mullan Trail Bank was robbed at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, “thin and tiny.” The suspect left the bank on a small red motorcycle.

A sheriff’s department dispatcher tells the Missoulian that aspects of the St. Regis bank robbery resembled others in Bigfork and Lakeside last fall. In each case, a male wearing motorcycle helmet was identified as the culprit.

The First Interstate Bank in Bigfork was robbed in September while a Glacier Bank branch in Lakeside was robbed in November.
