Montana Raft Company Hosts ‘Rafting for Refuse Day’

The Montana Raft Company is holding its 15th “Rafting for Refuse Day” at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Volunteers, who must be at least 12 years old, can still sign up by calling (406) 387-5555 ahead of the event.

Preregistered participants will clean up trash along the river and at public river access points on the Middle Fork. All necessary equipment for rafting will be provided along with professional guides and vans. Volunteers should bring work gloves and a water bottle. After cleanup duties are done, volunteers are invited to stay for volleyball and a complimentary barbecue.
