Glacier Park Inc. Buys St. Mary Lodge

MISSOULA – Glacier National Park concessionaire Glacier Park Inc. is expanding its Montana holdings with the purchase of the St. Mary Lodge and Resort.

The lodge is a seasonal hotel with 115 rooms spread across six facilities and is located just outside the east entrance of Glacier National Park.

GPI president and general manager Cindy Ognjanov (og-YAHN’-off) tells the Missoulian the company is excited about the new addition.

GPI is the lodging, retail and dining concessionaire for Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park and also owns Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish and Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta.

Inside the park, GPI operates the park’s historic hotels, including Lake McDonald Lodge, Many Glacier Hotel and others.

St. Mary Lodge and Resort opened May 27 and will close Oct. 2.
