Professional Tom Kalinowski and his amateur playing partner Charlie Von Arentschildt won the fourth annual Flathead Beacon Pro-Scratch Golf Tournament earlier this week. Kalinowski and Von Arentschildt shot 65 in Monday’s first round at Eagle Bend Golf Club in Bigfork and 64 in Tuesday’s second round at Big Mountain Golf Club in Kalispell for a total of 129.
The win by Kalinowski and Von Arentschildt ended the three-year reign of Kyle Cianflone and Jason Vedadi, who finished tied for fifth with a two-day total of 136.
The Flathead Beacon Pro-Scratch features many of the best professional and amateur golfers in Northwest Montana and elsewhere. This year’s tourney featured 33 pairs of professionals and amateurs, the tournament’s largest field in its four years. Prize money totaled $20,000.
