PLACES: Woodland Water Park

By Beacon Staff

With some of the hottest days of the summer still to come, there is no better time to enjoy the cool waters at Woodland Water Park.

The water park features a kid’s activity pool, a general-purpose pool with two diving boards, a lazy river and two huge slides. The park employs a very large lifeguard staff, so you can feel comfortable that you and your children will be safe as you enjoy all of these amenities.

The kid’s activity pool is a great place to take the younger crowd as it features very shallow waters and water toys and will keep the little ones entertained.

Woodland Water Park isn’t just for kids, however. Adults can hop on one of the park’s many huge inflatable tubes and relax as the slow waters of the lazy river take you around in circles.

Woodland is also a great place to soak up the sun while the kids burn off some energy, or you can burn some yourself in the pool’s lap lane.

How to get there: If you’re on Main Street in Kalispell, head east on Second Street. Follow Second Street through the intersection of Woodland Avenue and go for about another 200 yards. Take your first left on Woodland Park Drive and then the next left on Shady Glen Drive. Woodland Water Park will be on your right.
