Michael Waltrip to Race in Kalispell on Saturday

Two-time Dayton 500 champion Michael Waltrip is scheduled to race in Kalispell Saturday in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West at Montana Raceway Park.

Waltrip is set to drive the No. 12 TTC Thornton Toyota for Bill McAnally Racing.

Waltrip says these types of races get him back to the roots of racing, running on Saturday night under the lights on a short track.

Plus, he asked, “How can you turn down a trip to Montana? It’s one of the most beautiful places on earth.”

Waltrip has one win and three top-five finishes in his four K&N Pro Series West starts. The McAnally team won the 2010 K&N Pro Series West championship with driver Eric Holmes.
