Open House Scheduled for Hunting Season Setting Process in Kalispell

By Beacon Staff

Fish, Wildlife & Parks will hold an open house in Kalispell to collect early public input on 2012-2013 hunting seasons. The open house is scheduled for Monday, August 29 at the Kalispell Regional Office from 7-9 p.m.

The public is invited to attend the meeting where biologists will collect input. The open house will begin with a brief overview of the season setting process.

According to FWP Wildlife Manager Jim Williams, the purpose of the meeting is to give hunters an early opportunity to express their ideas and ask questions about the 2012-2013 seasons before tentative hunting regulations are proposed by biologists and adopted by the FWP Commission. The public can attend the open house anytime between 7 – 9 pm.
