By Beacon Staff

Police in Kalispell say a 44-year-old man was arrested after his former girlfriend said he assaulted her, damaged her vehicle and pointed a gun at her.

Officials say Michael Ray Jackson of Kalispell was angry that his girlfriend broke up with.

The woman said Jackson showed up at her residence Thursday night, pulled her hair and punched out a side mirror on her vehicle. He left and returned a few minutes later, when the woman said he slashed one of her tires.

He left and returned a third time, using his pickup to push the victim’s vehicle from its parking spot. The victim and another witness say he pointed a gun at both of them.

Jackson was arrested a short distance away.
