Glacier High Teen Gets 6 Months Probation for Hazing

By Beacon Staff

A 15-year-old boy accused of hazing teammates on the Glacier High freshman football bus in September has been sentenced to six months of probation.

Judge Stewart Stadler sentenced the boy in youth court Friday. The judge also ordered him to write letters of accountability to all four victims and to participate in victim-offender meetings with the one victim who has requested them.

The teen previously acknowledged a charge of misdemeanor assault for covering some of his teammates’ mouths so they couldn’t call for help, threatening them that it would be worse later if they struggled, punching them in the groin and poking them through their pants.

Two other Glacier High freshmen also face misdemeanor assault charges related to the hazing.
