Police Blotter

Flathead County Sheriff’s and Kalispell Police Reports

Strange Tracks

By Christie Burns

Wednesday 12/18

6:33 p.m. A loose horse made “strange” tracks in the snow on a Farm Road resident’s property. The property owner suspects that a prowler and a horse have been sneaking around.

3:07 p.m. Someone saw a German shepherd standing on the side of the road.

3:09 p.m. A Kalispell man’s family members were worried after he didn’t show up for an appointment. He was found taking a nap at a friend’s house.

3:37 p.m. A man at an Evergreen hotel called 911 numerous times to discuss Satan, white fangs, nuclear holocaust and a short list of people in Polson who should, according to him, be arrested. He was told to stop calling. He said OK.

8:25 p.m. Someone complained that the driver of a “hotrod” was driving too fast. The caller hoped a deputy would pull the driver over and ask what his problem was.

9:59 p.m. A Columbia Falls woman reported that a drunken, middle-aged man beat her up and stole a truck.

12:25 a.m. A Lakeside woman called 911 after her drunken boyfriend called her names and knocked a lamp over. The man then got on the phone to advise law enforcement that he would be taking a nap under the pool table. The two were separated for the night.

2:11 a.m. An intoxicated man was taken to the hospital after he was found lying in the middle of Helena Flats Road.
