Fox Enters Republican Race for Attorney General

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – Republican Tim Fox says he is going to make another run for Montana attorney general.

Fox announced his candidacy Monday, setting up a GOP primary battle with state Sen. Jim Shockley.

Fox promised in his announcement to use the office to fight the federal health care law. He also continued a theme from his unsuccessful 2008 campaign with a promise to further crack down on sexual offenders.

The office is being vacated by Steve Bullock, a Democrat who is running for governor.

Former legislator Jesse Laslovich and Montana Department of Labor attorney Pam Bucy are competing for the Democratic nomination. Both have been very competitive so far in raising money.
