Kalispell Man Denies Child Endangerment Charge

By Beacon Staff

A 21-year-old Kalispell man charged with letting his 2-year old son wander outside in the snow without any shoes on has pleaded not guilty to negligent endangerment.

Russell Flanigan was arrested on Feb. 24 after a woman found the boy sitting in the middle of the road, without a coat on, crying.

Deputies followed the boy’s footprints back to a house, where they found a 10-month-old girl inside and Flanigan asleep. When they awakened him, deputies say he was disoriented and confused.

Officers found several marijuana plants in the garage. KCFW-TV reports Flanigan also pleaded not guilty Thursday to criminal manufacture of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
