By Beacon Staff

Two Kalispell residents arrested early Friday morning are suspected of breaking into area vehicles. Frank James, 18, and Jordan Engebretson, 19, were arrested at about 2 a.m. following a traffic stop.

At 1:52 a.m., the Kalispell Police Department received a report of a suspicious vehicle traveling without its headlights on. Police spotted the Ford Explorer and during the stop noticed numerous items in the back. A search of the surrounding area by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office found multiple vehicles that had been broken into and rummaged through.

Police towed the Ford Explorer after James and Engebretson were arrested and authorities are obtaining a search warrant to look inside their vehicle. Police urge the public to call (406) 758-7780 if they think anything was stolen out of their vehicles on Thursday night or early Friday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
