After the final votes were tallied Thursday night, Whitefish voters overwhelmingly passed a $14 million bond to fund a reconstruction project at the high school.
The bond passed by a vote of 3,165 in favor of the bond and 1,695 against.
The $14 million will go toward a $19 million project that will be a combination of new construction and renovation of existing space at the high school, which school officials say is badly in need of updates and modernization.
The remaining $5 million will be funded through a variety of sources, including a $2.5 million commitment from the city’s tax-increment finance fund.
Whitefish voters shot down a $10.5 million bond in 2004 and a $21.5 million bond in 2008.
