PLACES: Loud at the Library

By Beacon Staff

Throwing a party at the library is normally an unthinkable act, but you won’t get “shushed” on Thursday, March 22 when the Flathead County Library Foundation hosts the annual “Loud at the Library” fundraiser.

The event takes place on the second floor of the Main Library in Kalispell and raises money to support county library programs.

During the event, participants are encouraged to enter the numerous raffles featuring donations from several area businesses by dropping tickets into the corresponding jars.

Also, take advantage of the auction and bid on six one-of-a-kind oak library chairs, a table-top dictionary stand or a stunning 24-drawer Glacier National Park card catalog all decorated by local artists.

The Bad Larrys will perform during the event and food and drinks will be provided as well.

The FCL Foundation helps fund programs and events that the current library budget cannot afford. The “Loud at the Library” party starts at 5:30 and goes until 8:30. Tickets are $30 – with $20 of that being tax deductible – and are available in the business office at the Main Library. For more information call 758-5821.

How to get there: The Main Library of the Flathead County Library system is located at 247 First Ave. E. in downtown Kalispell.
