By Beacon Staff

HELENA — Montana Lottery officials say lottery sales for the week ending March 31 were a record $2.75 million, including $1.73 million wagered chasing the $656 million Mega Millions jackpot.

More than 27,000 tickets won cash prizes in the March 30 drawing, including $10,000 prizes from tickets sold at Town Pump in Livingston and the Cono Mart Superstore on Southgate Drive in Billings.

Tickets sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland share the jackpot.

A $250,000 prize from the March 27 Mega Millions drawing was claimed Friday by a group of 28 players, most employees of Benefis Health System in Great Falls. The ticket was purchased at Van’s IGA in Great Falls.
