Arlee Man Pleads Not Guilty in Hit-and-Run

By Beacon Staff

POLSON, Mont. – A 21-year-old Arlee man has pleaded not guilty to four counts of assault with a weapon for a hit-and-run crash that injured four people outside a Charlo bar in early May.

KERR-AM reports Jared Hendrickson also denied a charge of leaving the scene of an accident during a hearing Thursday in District Court in Polson.

Lake County authorities were called just before the bar’s closing time early on May 6. Witnesses said Hendrickson revved the engine of his truck and swerved into a crowd of people, hitting four of them. Court records say one person suffered a compound leg fracture.

Hendrickson was arrested about an hour later by Flathead Tribal Police.

District Judge Kim Christopher set a Sept. 10 trial date.
