Ryan Wells from Hingham won the inaugural Montana Gold 212 at Montana Raceway Park on Aug. 11. Wells held off runner-up Alex Lessor and third-place Agni Howell to claim the top prize. Wells earned second at the Montana 200 recently.
Drivers were awarded over $50,000 in cash and prizes at the new Super Late Model event. Wells, Lessor and Howell were awarded commemorative gold pieces along with cash.
Lessor leads the Super Late Model points series by three over Wells. The final event of the summer is Sept. 8.
This weekend Raceway Park is hosting the Hornet Enduro 50 along with races for the Hobby Stocks, Legends and Bandoleros. Time trials begin at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. For more information visit www.montanaracewaypark.com or call 257-7223.
