EXPLORE: North Valley Hospital Fit-Trail

By Beacon Staff

The North Valley Hospital Fit-Trail was unveiled last week during its Planetree Festival, which celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Whitefish hospital as a Planetree establishment.

The trail wraps around the hospital grounds and goes for about a half-mile.

Along the route are 10 exercise stations where people can stop, do a quick workout and then keep moving.

The Fit-Trail is a conditioning program meant for all ages and is totally free.

Directions for the exercises are provided at each station. Each stop is designed for flexibility, cardiovascular conditioning, muscle strength and endurance.

How to Get There

From downtown Whitefish, drive south on U.S. Highway 93. Just south of town take a left on to Hospital Way.

The Fit-Trail trailhead is located on the southwest corner of the hospital grounds.
