The defending champion Bulldogs finished the regular season undefeated, securing home field throughout the upcoming Class A boys soccer playoffs.
Whitefish defeated Libby 11-0 on Oct. 6 and improved to 12-0 overall, 8-0 in conference. The Bulldogs have won 24 straight games dating back to last season. They host Livingston, the second seed from Southern A, at 2 p.m. at Smith Fields on Saturday, Oct. 13. To view the bracket, click here.
Whitefish is chasing its fifth state championship and second straight. This season has already seen a remarkable accomplishment. Head coach O’Brien Byrd recently earned his 100th career coaching victory, and it came against his alma mater. The Bulldogs defeated Columbia Falls 5-1 on Sept. 29.
Bigfork and Libby meet in a play-in game on Tuesday. The winner earns a home game this weekend.
The Columbia Falls girls capped an undefeated conference season last weekend and earned the top-seed from Northern A in the girls bracket. The Wildkats (10-1-1, 8-0) defeated Polson 10-0 at home last weekend, led by Danielle Delventhal and Alexi Corbett. Both girls scored three goals apiece. Columbia Falls will host Laurel on Saturday.
