Native Eyewear Gives Back to Whitefish

By Beacon Staff

Native Eyewear is looking to give $5,000 to one lucky Whitefish charity. The Denver-based sunglasses company is calling the “Giveback Grant” a thank you to the community after taking part in its 2012 Locals Only Project.

The Youth Image Project, Whitefish Review, Whitefish Legacy Partners, DREAM Adaptive and A-Rob Plant a Seed Project are all in the running for the grant and Facebook fans can vote for their favorite online. Voting continues until Nov. 7 and the winner will be announced Nov. 11.

“Native received so many submissions from so many great Whitefish organizations that it made the process of narrowing it down to five incredibly difficult,” said Al Perkinson, Native Eyewear’s vice president of marketing. “Now we’ll look to our Facebook fans to rally support and spread the word for the top groups to help influence our selection of the final ‘Giveback Grant’ recipient.”

The Locals Only Project was a four-month program to find some of America’s premier mountain towns and create content for Native Eyewear’s annual catalog and marketing materials. In previous years, Boulder, Colo. and Hood River, Ore. have been featured. For more information visit www.nativeyewear.com.
