Stillwater Christian Wins Volleyball, Soccer State Titles

The Stillwater Christian volleyball team added to its dynasty in typically dominating fashion.

The Cougars defeated Helena Christian 25-18, 25-18, 28-26 at home and claimed their fourth straight Montana Christian Athletic Association state championship. Standout senior Jordan Danz had 19 kills and nine digs and was named tournament MVP. Sarah Paolini and sister Morgan were also named to the all-tournament team with Danz.

The Cougars finished undefeated (26-0) for the second time in four years. The team is now 114-3 since 2009. Stillwater has won 13 state championships, most in the MCAA.

The boys soccer team claimed its own distinctive honor at home last weekend. The Stillwater soccer team beat Yellowstone County 9-1 to win its 10th straight state championship and 19th overall. The boys finished the season 18-5. Zack Waldher, Josh Bray and Zach Falk each scored two goals in the title game. Joe King, Josiah Mathwig and Julian Emond scored one apiece. Goalie David Willis had 13 saves.
