Dangerous Manhole

9:05 a.m. According to someone on Voerman Road, numerous political signs were damaged and some were stolen.

10:01 a.m. Someone found a mailbox belonging to a resident on Solberg Drive. The idea of returning it made the caller feel uncomfortable.

1:20 p.m. Reportedly, at least one dog was roaming freely through Lakeside.

1:54 p.m. A Columbia Falls woman caught a chocolate Lab and put it in her backyard.

3:34 p.m. Someone reported that a manhole cover on Holt Drive was “sitting up” and that it would be possible for a car to drive into the hole.

4:16 p.m. Someone on Highway 35 in Kalispell reported that a Jeep nearly drove off the road numerous times. Apparently a man was teaching his grandson to drive. The more experienced driver drove the vehicle home.

4:48 p.m. A Columbia Falls resident accused the neighbor dogs of murdering his chickens.

6:46 p.m. A resident of North Hilltop Drive in Columbia Falls reported that a man dressed in dark clothing had been standing at the end of their driveway for 15 minutes. During the call he fell down. A deputy responded and found that he was intoxicated and not in need of medical assistance.

7:34 p.m. A man on Whitefish Stage reported that a man he evicted moved out and then, without permission, moved back in. He also complained that the man now has a dog.

5:36 a.m. A woman on Browns Gulch Road claimed that a bear and two cubs were in her yard eating her chickens.
