Voting has commenced for the second round of Powder magazine’s “Ski Town Throwdown” contest, and Whitefish is trying to upset Rossland/Nelson from British Columbia.
Cast your vote here today and tomorrow and help Whitefish become one of the Elite 8 ski towns.
Powder magazine is looking to name the ultimate ski town and began with a bracket of 32 in a NCAA March Madness-style tournament. Whitefish handily eliminated Whistler in the opening round. Rossland/Nelson defeated Sugarloaf. Whitefish is the No. 4 seed and Rossland/Nelson is the No. 1 seed in the “Backscratcher Region.”
Bozeman is also in the tournament and edged Sante Fe and Taos by roughly 100 votes this week.
“Maybe you have the whole winter. Or maybe you just have a weekend. Where do you want to ski?” the magazine asks in its introduction.
“Vote for where you want to ski. The best ski town in North America will rise to the top.”
