MISSOULA — A Thompson Falls man is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence for a September head-on crash that killed two people.
The Missoulian reports 46-year-old Lance Pavlik also is charged with two counts of felony criminal endangerment because two children suffered broken legs when his pickup truck and a car collided west of Thompson Falls on Sept. 8.
The crash killed 32-year-old Jeremiah Abel Bennett of Thompson Falls and his fiancee, 23-year-old Christina Rae Jackson of Noxon. Bennett’s children, ages 4 and 2, were injured.
Court records say Pavlik’s blood-alcohol level was 0.245, or just over three times the legal limit, shortly after the crash.
Pavlik denied drinking. An investigation found he had been kicked out of a bar about an hour before the crash.
