Carroll’s Ben Cutler Suffers Season-Ending Knee Injury

By Beacon Staff

Unfortunate news out of Helena today. Kalispell’s Ben Cutler injured his knee in Carroll’s game against Montana State-Northern last week and the injury will sideline him for the remainder of his senior season.

The Glacier graduate was named to the men’s preseason all-conference basketball team, and excitement was building over his final collegiate season.

Here’s the story from the Associated Press:

HELENA — Carroll College basketball coach Brandon Veltri says senior guard Ben Cutler is out for the season after suffering a knee injury last weekend.

The Independent Record reports the Glacier graduate suffered a torn ligament and a partially torn meniscus in his left knee early in Carroll’s game at Montana State-Northern last Friday.

Cutler had been averaging 9.5 points per game for the Saints this season after averaging 13.5 points last year.

Cutler also is a sprinter and long jumper on Carroll’s track and field team, but won’t be able to compete this spring.
