Montana State Hires Football Offensive Coordinator

By Beacon Staff

BOZEMAN — Montana State football coach Rob Ash has named former Florida International offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Bobcats.

Cramsey played quarterback at New Hampshire from 1995-98 and was an assistant coach there from 2003-2011, the last three years as offensive coordinator. New Hampshire competed in the playoffs for eight seasons while Cramsey was an assistant.

His last game with the Wildcats was a 26-25 playoff loss at Montana State on Dec. 3, 2011. He coached one season at FIU before the head coach was relieved of his duties.

Ash says he remembers it was difficult to prepare for New Hampshire’s offense in 2011. He says he expects Cramsey him to bring in some different ideas for the offense.
