Deadline Extended for Glacier Park Concession Proposals

By Beacon Staff

The National Park Service is extending the deadline for submitting proposals to run concession services in Glacier National Park.

The deadline has extended to April 2 due to additional time needed in the contracting schedule and to allow interested parties as much time as possible to submit their proposals, according to the NPS.

The concession contract allows an organization to provide lodging, food and beverage, retail and other visitor services.

The current concession contract for this service, held by Glacier Park, Inc. since 1981, will expire on Dec. 31. The new 16-year concession contract is anticipated to take effect Jan. 1, 2014. The contract is for seasonal concession operations at five lodging locations, 10 food and beverage locations, eight retail locations, road-based tours and transportation-related operations and other services in Glacier Park.

All offers must be received by Jennifer Parker, Chief of Concessions, National Park Service, Intermountain Region, 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228, no later than 4 p.m. MST on April 2.
