Two FVCC Trustee Seats Up for Election in May

By Beacon Staff

There are two seats on the Flathead Valley Community College Board of Trustees up for election in May.

The positions are in the Flathead/Glacier High School District, and are currently held by Mark Holston and Shannon Lund.

A trustee serves for three years at a time; trustees elected to these seats would serve from May 2013 to May 2016. The election is on May 7, during the regular Flathead County school elections.

To qualify for the positions, candidates are required to be registered voters of Flathead County and reside in the Flathead/Glacier High School District, according to FVCC.

Residents interested in running for the positions have until 5 p.m. on April 8 to file. Legal information, nominating petitions, and candidacy forms are available at the college. Contact FVCC Election Coordinator Monica Settles at 756-3801 for assistance in the filing process.
