The three-time softball state champs have been nearly flawless again this season. Through May 4, Polson was leading the conference with a 13-1 overall record, 5-0 in conference. Frenchtown (13-2, 3-2) is second followed by Columbia Falls (9-6, 3-2), Libby (4-8, 2-3) and Whitefish (1-11, 0-6). The Lady Pirates are down to their final games before returning to the state tournament in search of another championship. Polson travels to Butte for a tournament this weekend before finishing the regular season at Libby on May 16 and hosting Frenchtown May 18. The Class A state tournament is May 23-25 in Belgrade.
