EXPLORE: Somers Beach and Fishing Access

By Beacon Staff

The Flathead Valley is on the cusp of summer and a great spot to enjoy the warm days is Somers Beach.

What makes this place great is that it’s right along U.S. Highway 93, just south of Somers.

There is plenty of parking and when the sun is out, plenty of rays to soak in.

The beach area is maintained by the county and is available for day use. There is no lifeguard on duty.

Right next to the beach is the Somers Fishing Access site, maintained by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

There is a dock and concrete ramp to launch your boat. There are also restrooms.

How to get there:

From Kalispell, drive south on U.S. Highway 93.

The beach and fishing access site is on the left, a mile south of the Somers turn.
