By Beacon Staff

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash.

Authorities say Amber Morgan McAtee, 38, died of the injuries sustained in Wednesday’s crash. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, McAtee was westbound on U.S. Highway 2 at about 3 p.m. Wednesday about seven miles west of Kalispell when her sport utility vehicle went off the left side of the road. She overcorrected and put the SUV into a side slide, which caused it to roll.

McAtee was partially ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath it. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

McAtee was recently living in the Thompson Falls area but was moving back to West Glacier, where her family lives, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash is still under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
