Bowhunter Education Courses Coming Up For Northwest Montana

Bowhunter education classes are scheduled in July for Northwest Montana, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announced. All bowhunter education classes are free of charge. By state law, all first-time bowhunters must pass the bowhunter education course in order to purchase a bow and arrow license.

Here are the scheduled classes:

Kalispell
Thursday, July 11, and Friday, July 12: 6:30 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, July 13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Instructors are Matt Riley and Bob Windauer. Classes will be held at the Flathead Valley Clay Target Club. This will include both classroom and the outdoor sessions.

Polson
Classes will be held on Friday, July 12 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the field course on Saturday July 13. Instructor is Dave Conrad.

Libby
The first class will be held on Wednesday, July 17 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Lincoln County Shooting Complex. Classes will continue there on July 22-24 from 6 to 9 p.m. Lead instructor will be Richard Hjort.

Eureka
Classes will be held Monday through Thursday, July 22-25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lincoln County High School. Instructor will be Tim Thier.
