McGhee, Two Grizzlies Earn Pre-Season All-America

Montana State quarterback DeNarius McGhee and Montana linemen Jordan Tripp and Danny Kistler were named pre-season first-team All-Americans by The Sports Network.

McGhee, of Euless, Texas, passed for 3,154 yards and 24 touchdowns last season and rushed for 364 yards and five more scores as the Bobcats posted an 11-2 record. He was named the Big Sky’s offensive player of the year.

Kistler, of Seattle, earned first-team all-conference honors last year.

Tripp had 95 tackles last season and led the Grizzlies with 13.5 tackles for a loss. He earned first-team all-Big Sky honors last season and was named to several All-America teams. The Missoula native was 10th in the balloting for the Buck Buchanan award, which goes to the top defensive player in the FCS.

Montana defensive end Zach Wagenmann of Missoula earned second-team pre-season honors.
