Tamarack Brewing Co. Seeking Design Submissions for New Ale

By Beacon Staff

Tamarack Brewing Company in Lakeside is offering artists the opportunity to design the label for its new Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Ale.

Design submissions are due by July 15. Renowned Montana artist Monte Dolack and TV host Randy Newberg are among a panel of judges who will determine the winner of Tamarack’s “Have Beer, Need Art” design contest.

Tamarack specially brewed the new ale as part of a non-profit project to raise awareness of Montana’s Rocky Mountain Front and Sen. Max Baucus’ Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act.

Dolack is a prolific Missoula-based graphic artist whose works are collected around the world. Bozeman’s Newberg is host of the Sportsman Channel’s On Your Own Adventures. Other judges include Missoula writer Ryan Newhouse, editor of the blogs Montana Beer Finder and Drink It Missoula, Renee Taaffe of the Missoula Art Museum and Tamarack co-owner Josh Townsley.

To further encourage participation in the non-profit project, Tamarack also announced several prizes for the top design:

— 12 engraved Tamarack growlers of Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Ale

— $100 Gift Certificate to The Trail Head

— Professionally framed print of the winning design

— “Schwag Basket” (T-shirts, coasters, pint glasses featuring winning design)

All contest entries must be submitted electronically, either by posting to Tamarack’s Missoula Facebook page, its Lakeside Facebook page, or by email to [email protected]. The deadline is midnight, July 15.

Complete terms and conditions are available online.
