After both tied the record for the lowest score in tournament history, Kramer Hickok of Plano, Texas, held off Tom Swanson of Missoula in a two-hole playoff to win the 77th annual Fourth of July golf tournament at Whitefish Lake Golf Club on July 6.
Hickok parred the second playoff hole and carded 66-69-69 — 204 to win the popular tournament. Both Hickok and Swanson were 10-under after 54 holes, which tied the tournament record set in 2004 by Jeff Ballard of Billings.
The women’s final ended with similar excitement after Lindsey Reeve of Missoula and Amber Lundskog of Bozeman tied after 54 holes and advanced to a playoff. A bogey on the third hole won it for Reeve.
