Man Dies after Car Hits Horse Near Browning

One man died and another was injured when the car they were riding in struck a horse on U.S. Highway 89 just west of Browning.

The Montana Highway Patrol website says the crash was reported at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Trooper Kurt Miller tells KECI-TV both occupants were members of the Blackfeet Tribe. Their names and ages haven’t been released.

The driver died at the scene and the passenger was flown to the hospital with unknown injuries.
